Welcome to PeaceBridge
PeaceBridge International Inc. began in 2002 with the simple idea of helping people outside the United States who were suffering from such things as the aftermaths of war, civil strife, or natural disasters. While not a disaster relief organization, PeaceBridge project coordinators collaborate with on-site relief organizations, and all personnel strive to be learners and listeners, in order to fit into communities in culturally relevant ways. PeaceBridge personnel are committed to long-term cooperation with local leaders.
The Board of Directors established PeaceBridge to support and provide educational, economic, and community development projects in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Burkina Faso, Somalia/Somaliland and other countries as needs develop. Since 2004, the Internal Revenue Service has recognized PeaceBridge as a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, and ever since then, 95% of all donated funds have gone to fund projects overseas, attesting to the original idea and goal of helping people. Donations to PeaceBridge support operations and projects for people needing assistance outside of the United States thus expenses in the US are purposely kept to minimum.
Thank you for taking time to read about the people PeaceBridge serves. We invite you to join our efforts as we support people in need around the world.
